The designer’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection consists of calibrated compositions, balancing military attire with soft femininity. The salient structure and purple, gold, and black colors are inspired by royalty of the past. In contrast, the subtle delicacy and intricate detail of each garment create effervescence, alluding to universal comfort and empowerment. Tying in with this theme of time, the luxury and sheer sophistication of each garment undoubtedly manifest our prosperous future.
Included in the special order and limited edition pieces are: a royal purple Margot-Margherita lace baby doll frock with sheer bodice and pleated tulle skirt lined in ebony silk, a black Neoprene raglan-sleeved A-line cropped jacket embellished in gold spike studs with a heavy industrial zipper closure, an orchid-heavy soft spandex draped short dress top with raw-edge side seams and a seven foot-long side train, a short black structured Neoprene skirt draped with putty gray silk chiffon across the front, and a Neoprene structured military jacket with black merino wool double-opening sleeves lined in black silk, embellished up the back with gold buttons (also accenting the wide back belt) with gold zipper-piped pockets.
Viktor Luna’s online boutique has recently had its Grand Opening, and eagerly awaited designs from previous collections are now available for purchase. The Fall/Winter 2011 collection will be featured on the website in limited quantity by August 2011.
